Did you Choose the wrong community from the start in your marketing ?
🤔 Recent market fluctuations invite us to adopt an optimistic perspective and yearn for a promising restart. However, it is crucial to recognize that the next bull run will differ from the previous one. 🐂
We are witnessing the emergence of notable trends, including the strengthening of RWA (Real World Assets) and the growing influence of TRADFI flirting with DEFI, but no one can say how to prepare to seize the upcoming opportunities.
In the face of these changes, what strategies should be adopted to capitalize on this renaissance? 🤖💡
Fundamentals: The REAL Community and its needs come first 🌟
Unlike traditional startups, Web3 projects from the previous bull waves tend to promote a product and market idea without a thorough analysis of product-market fit.
They often launch NFT or token sales based on a pre-established roadmap… and it worked!
Communication highlights a utility token, but success in sales doesn't guarantee a real market fit: it's a success with investors. 💰
The trap ?
🚫 These investors are rarely the future users of your service. They should be treated with respect and informed, but their needs won't help you create sustainable growth. In other words, in many projects, they are not your real community unless if you’re building a product for investors! 👀
Such an approach risks leading to a community deadlock, characterized by:
• A stagnating or decreasing token valuation. 📉
• A frustrated community clinging rigidly to the roadmap that is not adapted. 🗺️😠
• DAO votes dominated by investors rather than real consumers, not revealing the actual market needs. 🗳️🚫
So, how to move forward with a community without users ? 3 Tips:
1- Question your marketing strategies, are they really user-oriented or investor-oriented? To delve deeper, don't hesitate to revisit the AAARRR model from last week.
2- Find users among your investors 🕵️♂️: If your investor community is broad, try to identify potential users among them. There are surely at least 1 to 10% who will serve as the base for creating your user community. Practically: Offer brainstorming and co-creation workshops, you'll see who connects and who projects themselves as a user.
3- Separate the investor from the user🧠:
By tokenomics: Some projects have decided to create a different token and channels to separate the needs of investors from those of users. This is the case for many games, for example, Axie Infinity, which created SLP and others token for its players with mechanisms to isolate it from AXS fluctuations. 🎮🪙
Through your communication channels: What is the best way to reach your users? Is it really your Telegram or Discord? How much do you earn on this community management ? For some projects, this requires creating a different architecture in existing channels to provide more space for users, sometimes it's also about creating a totally different space in other media. 📣🌐

Jessy Jeanne, Entrepreneur & Artist shares her Lens experience :
Jessy is a 7 K follower and verified profile on Lens.
“Using Lens, I've built an engaged community around fries and boys memes, anchored by the persona JessyFries and her AI version, FriesGPT. She's bold, sassy, and feminist, offering delusional dating advice and funny ratings such as “He”s 10 but he’s not on Lens so he’s a 0”. JessyFries is an extension of my artistic practice on the blockchain, critiquing the crypto world with my unique parody of influencers.
In under a year, I garnered +7K followers, and established a token-gated community on Lens. The platform proves valuable for creators: I earned nearly $1,000 through creator subscriptions (Super Follows on hey.xyz). Super followers of "jessyfries.lens" get access to a private community with perks like a private chat, a 30-min call with me, and unlimited FriesGPT interactions.”

2/ 🌐 Audience Ownership Across Platforms
Imagine you've spent two years building a fantastic audience of 10,000 followers on Twitter. When you decide to launch a YouTube channel, behold, your 10,000 followers are already following you.
Unlike traditional platforms, Lens Protocol provides the unique benefit of audience ownership that transcends specific applications. Your followers stay with you, irrespective of the Lens interface they choose. This ensures a resilient and enduring connection with your audience, offering stability amidst the dynamic shifts in the Web3 landscape. 🚀✨

3/ 🚀 Absence of Corporate Giants: Level the Playing Field
Step into a realm where corporate giants don't overshadow your creative pursuits. Lens Protocol's decentralized nature creates a level playing field for content creators and users. Without the dominance of tech giants, you have the opportunity to shape the culture and dynamics of the platform collaboratively, fostering an environment where authenticity thrives.
Imagine that Binance hasn't even created its account yet 😱
Example of Coinbase, not really active with only 120 followers
4/ 💡 Innovate Without Constraints: Shape the Future Together
Early adopters on Lens Protocol actively participate in shaping the platform's future. As a manager or founder in Web3, this means influencing features, community guidelines, and user experience. In this decentralized space, innovation can flourish without the constraints of established structures, allowing your project to be a driving force in the evolution of social interactions.
Your project could reach 100K native Web3 users.
But there is a big problem !
You need an invite to join Lens Protocol… that’s why we offer one invite to one person who will let us a nice comment in Substack !

Lens Protocol shows great potential. I believe social media should be like this. This article is truly outstanding
In my opinion, Lens Protocol is unique, allowing people to switch between applications without losing followers or posts. As a newcomer to the Web3 world, I'm impressed, Lens signifies a revolution in social media. Its drawback lies in the limited access, with only a select few having the privilege of obtaining an invitation
